Hydrocyclones are used in separating large particles from small ones in mining applications. They rely on a steady flow of input in the cyclone. The tailing industry uses various Amostech pumps in different applications to move slurries, tailing and fluid from one place to another. Conventional pumps can not withstand the heavy workload in tailing applications.

Amostech manufactures heavy-duty desulphurization pumps, that are built specifically for use in flue-gas desulphurization systems in power plants. The flue-gas Desulphurization process enables the power plant to manage its exhaust-emission and maintain chemical balance.

To do that, ammonia, sodium sulphite or limestone slurry are used as absorbents. And Amostech desulphurization pumps are used to transport these absorbents into the Desulphurization chamber.
